Bill McNally serves as the school’s Sports Information Director and is the Director of the Poly Prep Basketball Camp. He is the Advisor to Poly’s Christian Sports Club. He is a physical education teacher and coach. For 20 seasons he was the Head Coach of Poly’s Varsity Boys’ Basketball team. His teams compiled a record of 353-147, including 13 Ivy Prep League Championships and three NYSAIS Championships. During his tenure, 36 players went on to play NCAA basketball at all levels and three have played professional basketball. Bill has held various administrative positions over his career at Poly Prep. These include Advancement Officer, Co-Director of Athletics, and Director of the Poly Prep Summer Sports Camp Program. He has also directed camps at Poly in soccer and baseball. The Daily News named him New York City Private School Coach of the Year three times, an honor he has also received once from The New York Post and four times from the New York State Coaches Association.
