Erin Hughes joined Poly Prep’s Advancement Team in 2021. Although she supports all fundraising initiatives, two of her priorities are garnering support for Financial Aid and DEIB. Since starting at Poly, one of her favorite parts of her job has been the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with current families and alumni to learn about what makes Poly so special to them. It’s her honor and privilege to share stories about Poly’s incredible students, faculty, staff, and programming, always highlighting why Poly is a magical place to learn and grow. Erin understands why our families chose Poly for their children, and takes her work supporting our school through fundraising very seriously.
A lifelong resident of the Northeast, Erin grew up in Bayonne, NJ and now makes her home in Brooklyn. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, going to the theater, reading, and cooking. Erin studied Sociology (BA) at Boston University, Urban Affairs (MS) at Hunter College, and Public Administration and Public Policy (Adv. Certificate) at the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies.
