Francesca Walker joined Poly Prep in 2022 as an Upper School dean. She comes to us from NYU’s College of Arts and Sciences, where she has co-directed the first-year experience, spearheaded second-year student success initiatives, and received accolades for her exceptional work with NYU students since 2018. Before her tenure at NYU, she managed enrollment and instruction at a language education program, oversaw student engagement at Columbia University’s Columbia College and School of Engineering, and managed residential crisis response programs for Oasis Center in Nashville, TN. Earlier in her career, she interned at Fisk University’s admissions office and worked in the Office for LGBTQI Life at Vanderbilt University. She received her BA in English and American Literature from NYU , earned a master’s in higher education administration from Vanderbilt, and completed a second master’s in counseling for mental health and wellness at NYU.
