When you hear Orrin Wilson play jazz classics on the trumpet, it comes as no surprise he grew up in New Orleans. Orrin earned a B.M.E. from Southern University A&M College, M.M. from Southeastern Louisiana University, Artistic Diploma from Manhattan School of Music, and Ph.D. from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He joined the Poly faculty full time in 2018 and teaches Middle School Instrumental Music, Grade 9 Concert Band, Upper School Music Studies, and Jazz Band. Orrin plays with Jazz Band in our winter and spring concerts. Orrin is a certified multi-platinum producer for Chris Brown, Trippie Redd, Young M.A. Melii, Tony Romiti, ESPN, Adidas, Under Armour, and EA Sports Game.
